Zach+Julie {engagement shoot on big mountain}

We at KoKo Verde (Lindsey+Mandy) had so much fun on the hill with Zach and Julie (and dogs). It was a typical foggy day on the hill, but the trees were gorgeous and the skiing not too bad. It was so fun to ride around with this lovely couple and something that we've never done before. It felt like we were old friends by the end of the shoot. They were so adventurous and awesome riders! We can't wait for your wedding next August... the mountain will look a lot different.

Kelsey+Luke... MARRIED and BRAVE! {Flathead Valley Photographers}

Kelsey and Luke are one of those couples that just makes you smile. Not only are they OBVIOUSLY in love, and steal the SWEETEST glances to one another, but they are GENUINELY in LOVE... so refreshing to see. Mandy and I both think this is a couple that will last for a lifetime. We had so much fun shooting their amazing wedding back in June but we also got to shoot a just wed/love birds session with the two. AND man did they go all out... (literally and a bit in), in the FREEZING cold water. What champs! Thanks you two! We adore you and your love for one another. (and Kelsey has STYLE... loved everything she brought to wear.) Just Married in Central Park

After months and months of planning, and a long day of emotions, drinking and dancing- it is easy to understand how a bride and groom might think that a second shoot the next morning might be a little overwhelming. This is what Jenny and Milen thought initially, but I was able to persuade them with the idea of a fashion photo shoot in Central Park and pictures of them in their wedding clothes feeding a foot long hot dog to their foot long hot dogs! After all, its not every day that you get to wear a custom made Carolina Herrera gown, a fabulous fur coat by Norisol Ferrari, jewelry by Dannijo,a stunningly tailored Prada suit and have a sexy fashion photo shoot in the middle of Central Park... seriously. Jenny and Milen were gracious enough to appease us and I don't think they regret it.

We had a beautiful, sun drenched autumn shoot with bridges, boats and hot dog stands. When we finished shooting, Jenny and Milen were walking through the park by the "Guitar Man". They were obviously stunning enough to create a stir and catch some attention. The musician congratulated the couple and then proceeded to serenade them with Elvis Presley's "Fools Rush In". Jenny and Milen shared their second "first dance" in front of a crowd of happy onlookers. Tears were flowing, and it was one of the most amazing moments we've had the pleasure of photographing. As we walked away, the general consensus was, "Wow. That just happened."

Autumn In New York Wedding : Jenny + Milen

Ok. Ok. Where do I begin... This is the beautiful story of the fabulous couple, Jenny and Milen. Jenny is a fashion designer and Milen is an amazing leather tailor. Together they form a magical style that is rustic, raw and elegant. They invited KoKo Verde to fly to the big apple to document their wedding day. Of course when you shoot for fashion designers, you know you are going to have some pretty amazing details. That is probably- ok, certainly - an understatement for this couple!

The wedding and reception were held at the beautiful and eclectic 632 on Hudson in the Meat Packing District of New York City.

All of the wedding party dresses were custom by Carolina Herrera of New York.

Jenny's gown was a custom Carolina Herrera. It was a short sleeve, full lace, form fitting column gown with a fishtail hem. It was made by the talented Miro Hermes and his seamstresses. Miro and Jenny started planning her wedding dress while working together on Bella's wedding gown for the Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn. With Mrs. Herrera's blessing, it was put into work and turned out to be the most gorgeous dress... She "never felt so beautiful." Every Carolina Herrera bride gets a small monogram on the underlining of her gown, just above the hem. Jenny's is of her and her husband, Milen's, initals, J and M. The small silk satin bow in blue just above the initials, was her something blue. All of the bridesmaids' dresses were also in various shades of navy blue and black. All were different; each dress reflecting in some way her lovely ladies' personalities. Each bridesmaid wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik satin, jeweled T-strap sandals. Jenny's wedding shoes were custom Manolo Blahnik for Carolina Herrera satin pumps with a Swarovski diamond crystal brooch detail. (These were the prototype wedding shoes for Bella to wear in the Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn.) Jenny wore stacked silver bracelets by Boutique Brian and a small gold tennis bracelet that she borrowed from her grandmother, Barb Swank.

Jenny and her ladies had their hair and makeup done by the fabulous Joe Carrillo who also works for Chanel at Henri Bendel's on 5th Avenue. He also does hair and makeup for the Carolina Herrera pre-collection presentations, which is how they were introduced.

Milen wore a Prada suit, custom tailored and altered by himself. He wore a black Prada shirt with French cuffs and a black Prada tie. His cuff links were vintage bulls (bride and groom are both Taurus' and share a company called Dva Bika - which means "Two Bulls" in Bulgarian, the groom's native language). Milen finished off his look with Maison Martin Margiela black leather boots. Milen custom designed the rings for the couple.

The whole inspiration for the wedding was based around Jenny's parents' wedding photo from 1977. The entire wedding- Jenny's dress and hair, the bouquet, even the music- was meant to evoke a 1970s nostalgia feel. Both Jenny and Milen wanted to honor their parents by enlarging photos of them in their youth, and displaying them in antique frames. Also, because Jenny is originally from Montana and wanted to incorporate a piece of that "ruggedness" in her New York Wedding, she decorated with antlers shipped from various family friends from her home state.

Koko Verde shot and edited this wedding in the spirit of that 1970s nostalgic feel. All of the guest photos were shot with Mandy's vintage Polaroid Land Camera.

We also were lucky enough to shoot the most beautiful "Just Married Session" the following day in Central Park. (Those pictures to come tomorrow!)

This family is so special to us. I (Lindsey) have been photographing them for years... and this time Mandy shot this GORGEOUS family with me. They are welcoming a new little baby girl in October and I think Max is going to make a wonderful big brother. They've had a super busy summer running and owning Montana Bear Food in Bigfork. They do a great job with their store, if you're in the area drop in, say hi, and get a DELICIOUS coffee and yogurt.

Saturday's wedding in Glacier National Park was SPECTACULAR! Brooke+Mike got married on Lake McDonald at the Lodge, then took a Red Jammer Bus to Logan Pass, and then had their party at The Belton Chalet. A perfect tour of the amazing park. It was gorgeous and the couple was so happy and in love. There was a last minute family emergency on the bride's side, but she made it and that made that day that much more special. We LOVE elopement sessions!!! Mandy got married this same way. So simple, so romantic, so sweet. Jennifer + John came all the way from Utah to get married in the park. John proposed to her in Zion National Park, how romantic is that??? It was the most perfect day. With the most "interesting" ceremony. One they will be sure to never forget, and us too ;) After they wed we wandered the park to document their day. We could have photographed and hung out with this couple all day. Kati and Darin in the Canola Field

Ummm... can you say true beauty!?!?! Kati is the definition of the word. And her with Darin even more beautiful, if possible. We did this shoot a couple weeks before the wedding because the canola was in full bloom and it was stunning... and YELLOW!!! It was one of the fastest shoots we've ever done because the mosquitoes were a swarming, like we've never seen. K+D were such troopers. It turned out to be one of our most favorite shoots... EVER. We love your willingness to get welts all over your body for this you two! :)

This was a very very special day for us. We have really gotten to know Kati+Darin the last few years and they have become so dear to us. We enjoyed every second of their beautiful day and week prior. So this sweet family lives in Alaska. YES, AK. They traveled a long way, but not just for this shoot. :) They came for the wedding of Ms. Kati O'Toole. Kerri, the beautiful mom is Kati's sis. And, small world, I (Lindsey), went to college with Kerri. So this was fun to see how much Landon had grown, and see 3-week-old Wyatt. Both boys were so great for our shoot. Kelsey + Luke-Whitefish, MT Wedding

Kelsey and Luke had quite the variety of weather on their wedding day, but it all worked out and ended with a beautiful double rainbow. It was such a gorgeous wedding on Kelsey's Grandma + Grandpa's property. (With the same farming equipment Gramps used to use!) It's funny because talking to Kelsey before the big day, she was so laid back and acted like they didn't put hours upon days into this big day preparing. But then getting there, it was so well put together, and mostly all done by K+L and friends and family. BRILLIANT!!!

You two shined. Literally. :) We are so happy for the two of you and wish you all the happiness in the world, although I don't think you need help from us! We had so much fun capturing your big day. Thanks so much Kelsey+Luke (and Little Bear + Bentley of course, you guys played a big part too! )

Taren+Luke : Snowbowl, MT : KoKo Verde Wedding Photographers

Last Saturday KoKo Verde traveled to Missoula to shoot the AMAZING wedding of Taren+Luke. (We both had some nostalgia since we both went to school at UM). They got married at the local ski hill, Snowbowl. It was such a beautiful day and luckily the snow melted just in time. (4ft. of snow the night before at rehearsal dinner!)

Taren+Luke are the most genuinely NICE people we have ever worked with. Their kind hearts and sweet smiles were so endearing. They made us feel so comfortable and it was so much fun to share in their big day. It felt like we had known them our lifetimes. What a lovely couple. Congrats you two! We loved EVERYTHING about your big day.

Christiana + Simon : Wedded in a Winter Wonderland

White Wedding- CK+Simon

Simon is Irish, and not to be cliche, but he sure did have "the luck of the Irish" for his and Christiana's wedding day. A bluebird Winter day in Whitefish. It was spectacular. He had lots of friends and family bringing the luck all the way from Ireland. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

This was SUCH a great winter wedding that I think I am going to have to blog twice... first I will show you the LOVELY couple and their first glance. (becuase it was pretty special and they were such great sports about enduring the FRIGID temps, not to mention the walking on the frozen lake). Then I will blog details, ceremony and celebration. And of course the lovely and talented Mandy Mohler second shot with me so it's mix of what our green eyes witnessed. A day of love, laughter, LUCK, and two little love birds. CK+Simon... the AMAZING day

So this blog is the promised details, ceremony and celebration post of Christiana and Simon's beautiful Whitefish Lake Lodge wedding. I forgot to mention how ORGANIZED the lovely CK was!!! WOW!!! She should be an event planner. She planned this whole wedding by herself, and did and AMAZING job. I hope this shows in the photos. The details were impecable!!! And, I am going to erase and repost the couple photos as I wasn't happy with the way my watermark took over their beautiful day... so make sure to come back and see the photos of the lovely couple and their first glance.

Kati+Darin= SWAN LAKE LOVE

Oh how I love the BEAUTIFUL miss Kati O'Koole (as Mandy would say). Even better: Kati mixed with the Dashing Darin in their special spot on Swan Lake. It was a lovely lovely engagement session. The weather was not on our side at first, but with great attitudes, halfway through the shoot, the SUN appeared, and the blue skies rolled in. AMAZING.
Mandy and I are SO excited to shoot Kati+Darin's wedding in July. They are such a fun, talented and STUNNING couple. We shot down on Swan Lake, a spot that is dear to the two of them, and I think it's pretty obvious why. Make sure to check out Mandy's eye's view as well.

Kati + Darin = LOVE

Yesterday Lindsey and I were FINALLY able to get together with the lovely Kati and Darin for their engagement shoot. First attempt, I had a severe fever and was highly contagious. Second attempt, melting snow, ice, RAIN. Finally yesterday, it appeared as if we would get lucky with the weather....

and as Lindsey and I were driving towards the Swan, the temp read 41 degrees, and... it started to RAIN. Of course!!

Being the awesome couple that they are, Kati and Darin pushed to start the shoot anyway. They smiled and hugged and loved despite the dripping, and then... we were all rewarded with brilliant blue skies and sunshine. Lindsey and I were really lucky after all, because the smorgasbord of weather gave us a great variety of shots.

Thanks so much Kati and Darin for your patience and for being such GORGEOUS models.

Saturday I, with the help of Mandy, got to shoot the adorable and sweet couple Debbie+Jesse. We were a little worried because of all the rain, but it stopped for their wedding, and we even saw a little blue sky.

The ice and deep snow didn't get the bride down, she trudged through it so we could get some pictures outside. (what an AWESOME bride!!!) It turned out to be SUCH a lovely day filled with love, laughter and tears of joy. Thanks so much you two! I wish you all the happiness in the world. I know you will find it with your love for life and one another. xoxo

We (Mandy and I) love shoots like this. A family full of love and laughter. This photo session was given as a gift. One of the best gifts you can give... we believe.

Our client found us in Tennessee... small world because the Woodard Family lives in the same town my mother and sister-in-law live in. I love when that happens. Anyway, the Woodard family happened to all be together this Christmas in Whitefish and what a great way to capture that togetherness.

Melanie+Martin= Winter Wonderland Wedding

Mandy and I are back at it... and it felt great. Mandy and I met sweet beautiful Kacie and her mom about two years ago at the Bridal Expo, and she couldn't decide between the two of us, so she booked us both---hence the birth of KoKo Verde!
After shooting their engagement in Glacier last summmer, Kacie and Travis's big day finally arrived. And what a day it was. I was with the ladies and so enjoyed their humor and laughter. (it was a little like being with the guys ;) Kacie makes THE BEST faces, so fun to capture!
Thanks so much Kacie and Travis. It was great to be back with Mandy and capturing your beautiful wedding day. Your love for one another is AMAZING!!!

KoKo Verde is the fabulous brain child of two amazing lady shooters: Lindsey Jane Gardner and Mandy Mohler.

It sprung from the idea that four green eyes are better than two. Armed with cameras, the women of KoKo Verde execute successful missions of creating beautiful and inspiring images. They love nothing more than picture taking, besides doing it together.
